Calliope, wisest of muses, inspired Homer to write the Odyssey, epic tale of King Odysseus’s ten-year journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. Homer’s epic, in turn, inspired C.P. Cavafy to pen his masterful poem “Ithaca,” tribute to wild adventures, hard lessons learned, and the inevitable returns charted by destiny. The 2018 FULL CIRCLE collection is inspired by the spirit of these beloved Greek poets, expressing the joy and inner fulfillment that comes with our singular experiences—both challenging and fine—and the passage of time.

The Greek name of each piece in FULL CIRCLE celebrates the attributes we acquire along the way if we are wise (Sophia) in the paths we choose, and if we travel with peace (Irene) of mind and purity (Agnes) of heart. When we remain open to change, our souls expand with love (Agape), and we will find victory (Nike) at circle’s end.

Organic forms follow the fluidity of the river of life. Precious sterling silver and gold adorn porcelain as translucent as mother of pearl. Pure white and bright blue reflect the eternal beauty of the Aegean Sea, as much ours as it was Odysseus’s, Homer’s, and Cavafy’s.
